But there is something so amazing about seeing a group of talented individuals come together to perform exceptional songs. Here are some of the most amazing boy and girl groups in recent history.

Jonah Brothers

The Jonas Brothers boy group consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. The three brothers have been together since 2005. They gained popularity thanks to the Disney Channel as they starred in the Camp rock franchise of films with Demi Lovato and they also starred in their own show titled after their last name. They’ve released music steadily over the past few years and they’ve released more new music in 2020.

little mix

Little Mix has been around since 2011. They were purchased together in the eighth series of the UK version of X factor. The show is a talent competition that tries to bring together some of the most prestigious talent of all time. The group is made up of Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. In 2020, Jesy Nelson decided to leave the group but she was also part of Little Mix.

Street boys

The Backstreet Boys reunited in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. They’re one of the oldest bands on this list, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t always so popular. The group consists of Nick Carter, Howie Darryl, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson. Their music was a lot of fun to listen to in the 90s and early 2000s, filled with all of its pop, R&B and dance vibes.

Danity Kane

Coming back to girl groups, it only makes sense to discuss Danity Kane! The girl group formed in 2005 after meeting in New York City. It all started with Wanita Woodgett, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex. Two of the members left, shrinking the group from five to three, but the three girls who chose to stay keep releasing music anyway. Their record companies are Bad Boy Records, Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group.

* NSYNC is constantly compared to the Backstreet Boys because the two boy bands appeared around the same time. They were also trained in Orlando, Florida, ironically. * NSYNC consists of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass.

The genre they fit best into would be pop music. Everyone knows that Justin Timberlake ended up parting ways with the band to pursue a hugely successful solo career.

Of course, we had to mention The Cheetah Girls on this list! The girl group started in 2003 with the release of the first Disney Channel film (of the same name). It started out with four limbs, but ended up dropping to three by the time the third film was released. The original four members were Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan, Kiely Williams and Raven Symone. Raven is the one who chose to leave the group when it came time to shoot the third film.

There is so much to know about BTS, the South Korean boy band formed in 2010. The music is really fun to listen to, even for people who don’t speak the language! This is because the beats of their songs are so fun to dance to.

Beyoncé as a solo artist is divine with a whole hive of fans who are absolutely obsessed with her. Before separating from the group, she was part of it with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. They started in 1990. Their location was Houston, Texas.

Top of the list of boy bands in recent history that are considered unforgettable? One Direction, obviously. The boy group consists of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Zayn Malik was once part of the group but he decided to leave in March 2015. The group started in 2010 and has stolen the hearts of young girls around the world. It was really unfortunate to see Zayn parting ways with a band because almost every boy band fan wanted him to stay.

BLACKPINK has garnered a lot of attention because it’s a girl group that comes from South Korea but still makes waves in North America. They recently collaborated with Selena Gomez on the song “Ice Cream” and it ended up being a huge hit. Right now, he has over 464 million views on YouTube which is hugely impressive. Their choice to collaborate with Selena Gomez was extremely brilliant.
