Flipkart strengthens children’s fashion segment by partnering with Hopscotch

E-commerce giant Flipkart has announced a partnership with India’s leading children’s fashion brand, Hopscotch, to exploit opportunities in the segment. The e-merchant said it recorded 60% year-over-year (YOY) growth in the branded children’s fashion segment, the highest during the holiday season of 2021, with a majority coming from cities of level 2 and beyond.

Flipkart will make a wide range of Hopscotch branded children’s clothing available across the country, as parents continue to trust e-commerce for their shopping needs, which provides them with a wide choice and quality products, the company said. This partnership will put Flipkart in close competition with Amazon, which also has its own brand of children’s clothing.

Today, the majority of customers who buy branded children’s clothing on Flipkart are in the 25-40 age group and are more aware of the makeup of fabrics and branded children’s clothing. Through this partnership, Flipkart has enhanced its brand portfolio and continues to advance its value proposition of making high-quality, premium branded products available to over 400 million registered customers across the country, the company said in a statement.
