It took Rihanna to lift Johnny Depp.

After all the dirty details of that sordid libel lawsuit with his ex-wife Amber Heard, it would still take a lot for the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star to clean up his badly tarnished image.

And strutting to OutKast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” in “Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4” — which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday — Depp has his booty back. – dressed for seduction in Ri-Ri’s lingerie line – looks fresher and cleaner than she has in ages.

Don Juan DeMarco is back indeed suave.

Appearing less puffy and scruffy than expected, a slimmed down Depp appears to have rolled back the years in a magical makeover as he emerges from the shadows in an enchanted forest.

Dressed in an all-olive ensemble with matching dressing gown and pajama pants, the actor with the perfect ponytail and masculine one-liner is a reborn stud. And when he gives the camera a sly, sexy smile, it’s like he’s saying, “Nobody do drugs like me / I’m so fresh, so clean.”

Depp is the first man to have such a role in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty show. And it’s certainly much more of a career-boosting moment than when he dressed up as Moonperson at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

But not all of the buzz around Depp’s appearance on the show has been positive. In fact, Rihanna faced backlash from some of her own fans for including the actor on the show due to the abuse allegations Heard brought against him – even though Depp won the libel suit. . There have even been calls to boycott Savage x Fenty because of his controversial cameo.

Of course, Deep isn’t the only celeb featured in “Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4.” The star-studded affair also includes lingerie-clad cameos by everyone from Taraji P. Henson and Sheryl Lee Ralph — who has been on the right path since winning that Emmy for ‘Abbott Elementary’ in September – to ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu and ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ actor Winston Duke. There’s even Marsai Martin’s “Black-ish” escapism suddenly looking very grown-up, having just turned 18 in August.

And Rihanna herself opens the proceedings, although the “Lift Me Up” singer leaves the performances to Brazilian artist Anitta, Nigerian star Burna Boy, rapper Don Toliver and Maxwell. The neo-soul man delivers an ethereal take on his slow, silky jam “Whenever Wherever Whatever” is tailor-made for the bedroom.
