After a tumultuous year, Kidz Fashion Week is back on track, more fun and glamorous than ever, starting in Melbourne this Saturday at the iconic Melbourne Town Hall, before continuing in Sydney on April 23, and the Gold Coast on June 25.
“As always, this show is about children,” Greek-Australian educator and entrepreneur Terri Svoronos told Neos Kosmos.
“I promised them a spectacular show and I never turned away from it, even in the face of two major blockages and three postponements. I want to empower kids and not disappoint them, so when everything else was canceled in their lives, dance concerts, sports, theater, Kidz Fashion Week didn’t disappoint them!”
Ms Svoronos is a Telstra Business Award winner, and Kidz Fashion Week (which she founded in 2014) is the culmination of promoting talent in a way that supports diversity and inclusivity, while encouraging children and teenagers of all ages and backgrounds, shapes, sizes, need to take to the stage in their own way.
As we face so many challenges due to the pandemic, the show’s purpose is more important than ever, says Ms. Svoronos: Fostering a sense of pride, inclusiveness and fun, with good self-esteem. self and promote body positivity.
The show will also feature a very young 14-year-old entrepreneur, Rhemy Willis, who will showcase her swimwear, designed to make sure young girls feel good about themselves. Rhemy has been on the show for the past five years and describes the environment as inclusive and supportive of all children who attend.
In addition to young modeling talents, several notable faces from the world of actors and influencers will be present, as well as our young Zara Tsolakis, who is part of the cast of Nick Giannopoulos’ highly anticipated film, which will be released in 2022, ‘Wogboys Always’.
Zara tells Neos Kosmos that she loves doing Kidz Fashion Week “because it’s so much fun, you make new friends and I love walking down the catwalk showing off my awesome clothes.” She says that this year she will wear Moschino by Le Style Jnr and adds with a mysterious air that she will open the show!
