Trestan Ebner brings major juice to Bears RB Room

General manager Ryan Poles said running back was an area he felt needed help for the Chicago Bears. It’s not because he doesn’t like David Montgomery or Khalil Herbert, but rather because the position lacks certain dimensions. He felt there was not enough speed and legitimate threat in the passing game. That’s why they really missed Tarik Cohen. The Poles therefore ended up addressing this problem with Trestan Ebner.

Although he was never a standout runner for Baylor during his college career, he was easily one of the most versatile long distance weapons. He caught 127 passes including 11 touchdowns and also had three kick return touchdowns between 2020 and 2021. The guy is dangerous in the extreme when handed the ball to him in space. There’s no shortage of ways Luke Getsy and coaching can use it.
